Samsung in Asia Better Honor All Returns This Time, Regardless Of Region Or Method Of Purchase

Trying to refund/exchange a product simultaneously with millions of other people is not an easy task, and the Note 7 fiasco could drag out for weeks and months, but US consumers who’ve purchased through local carriers or stores can sleep easy, because they will likely receive very sufficient support and elaborate instructions. Heck, they’ll likely get some sort of freebie too for the hassle (reportedly US$25 credit … not much, but better than nothing). After all, the US media sings the loudest in the world, and social media reports go viral a lot easier on Twitter than on Weibo — if the explosions of the past week had all happened in Asia, South America, or even England, I highly doubt the news would have blown up to this degree, thus forcing Samsung’s hand.
