It has been a race to the top improving the airport experience in many countries around the world. While the airport used to be an uncomfortable place to wait before you could get the heck out of there, they now they feature swimming pools (Changi in Singapore) performance stages (Incheon in Seoul) and fancy wine bars (Charles Kingford Smith in Sydney). Airport expert Harriet Baskas explains “That totally makes sense because airports are now in competition with each other.”
