All i really want for a new MC update is to fix villagers.
Hey, so new update incoming, everyone is hyped. But the thing that bothers me the most when playing isn't really the lack of exploration or lack of fauna, but the fact that villagers are basically the worst right now.
Don't get me wrong, trading with them in survival is good and helps a lot, but i like to build cities and castles, mines and all kinds of crazy big buildings. What annoys me is the lifelessness my buildings have to endure. Spawning villagers into them doesn't do anything, because of the lack of doors they will either despawn or get killed one by one. What i want is villagers to have a purpose other than milking them for enchantments. I wand them to populate my builds, make them feel alive, especially when i spawn a whole bunch of them.
Even in normal villages, there are like 6 or 7 villagers to begin with, but just enough doors to sustain 1. Why is that exactly? To prevent breeding them like crazy? And if so, why? People can already just stack a bunch of doors to create what Minecraft considers as "houses". Do we really need this restriction?
Imagine you build a gigantic castle and you could see your villagers live in it, populate it. That's really the thing i'm waiting for right now, and i hope we will get this some day.
Some suggestions on how to make villagers better (imo) is to have at least 1 villager per house, maybe even a whole family, to make villagers have routines, and to add some warriors that can protect the rest against zombies which usually kill a whole village by themselves.
