Following the saga of the exploding batteries with the Note 7 – including a global recall that could cost upwards of one billion dollars and a loss of sales that could cut the estimated volumes of the Note 7 by half – Samsung will be looking towards its traditional flagship smartphone launch in Q1 2017 to revive the fortunes of the beleaguered company.
