Texture/ResourcePack ideas/inspiration/theme

Greetings fellow miners!

I'm currently thinking about creating a texture/resource pack, I do not want to make just another medieval-themed pack though (there are already enough out there I guess). Hence I'd like to ask you, what you would like to see? Any niche that needs to be filled? I thought about a sci-fi themed pack, but I'm open for suggestions.

Another thing I'd like to know is, do you deem it to be a problem if certain blocks/items differ from vanilla minecraft? E.g. turning a bow into a gun, the recipe would keep the same though. Or a stoneblock suddenly being an ironblock (or whatsoever). I'd like to keep it as consistent to vanilla as possible, but depending on the theme, that might not be possible all the time.

Anyway, thanks alot for the feedback and your time! I certainly appreciate it. Kind regards.
