While the original Mobile Suit Gundam was and still is a brilliantly wrought series, its eventual success was not something Sunrise probably expected. When it came to the inevitable sequel, in the case of Zeta Gundam, it’s clear the studio knew what to build on and in doing so created probably one of the finest entries in the saga to date.
