The Importance of Juno [Infographic]

NASA’s Juno has completed its first of 36 orbits around Jupiter. It came within 2,600 miles above Jupiter’s clouds and was traveling at 130,000 mph while the instruments on board began collecting data of all kinds from the giant planet. Now that data is being transmitted back to Earth and scientists are eager to dig in and start unraveling Jupiter’s secrets.But why all the excitement? Why is the study of Jupiter so important?
