If you buy your handsets outright every two years or you rely on a network contract, the iPhone 7 family will present you with a difficult upgrade choice. It is better, but not by much. There is something better coming up next year which will be a huge jump on the iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S you currently have. And very few people can afford to upgrade their smartphone every year. Which is where Apple’s secret weapon comes into play.
