Andy Beal was our general council when Bitwage launched in 2014, but he’s since moved on to Ernst & Young’s Blockchain Consulting Group. The other day, he and I got a chance to catch up over lunch. Notice that he went to the blockchain consulting group, not the Bitcoin group. He confirmed what I’ve said here several times in the past: large enterprises today are treating the blockchain the way they did relational databases back in the 1990s. Everyone is curious as to how this fundamental advance can be applied, both internal to their businesses, and within their industry’s ecosystem.
