5 Tips To Help Balance Work And Play

Forbesfone: One SIM. Zero Borders. Come see how we do mobile, the simple way.
Do you find yourself at odds, trying to mete equal time to work and play? Do you think 24 hours is never enough to actually do all that needs to be done? And do you often find yourself sacrificing one at the cost of the other and – worse still – feeling guilty about it every time? Well, you’re not alone.
Although it’s not really of any consolation to know that this miserable “never enough” feeling is shared by most, it’s comforting to know that some people do manage to get around this by following a tip or two. Although most will ring as common sense, it is surprising just how many people get so utterly lost in to-do lists, that they fail to realize that they’re only inches away from regaining the sought-for work/life balance.
1.       Get a second cell phone.
We’ve covered this in great detail in a previous post. Basically, having a second cell phone (or a second SIM you can disable/enable) gives you the flexibility and the power to literally zone out and switch off. Your clock hits 9pm and the game you’ve been wiating for a week is about to start? Switch the phone off. You wish to dedicate a Sunday trip to your family? Leave your phone at home. You’re in total control.
Forbesfone Tip: Check out what we offer! Having a second SIM which is also a pre-paid roaming SIM will come in useful even when you travel.
2.       Make mornings meaningful
Mornings are for dedicating time to oneself – emails and catching up with news come secondary. Spend time creating, rather than just absorbing – it’s the perfect time in the day for it. Check out what we’ve said about morning routines of people who are constantly on the go and who give special attention to how they spend their time. We should definitely take a leaf out of their book!
