Mumbai’s $13B Waste Management Market And The Startup That’s Tapping Into It

When it comes to waste management in India, little is the way it’s meant to be. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, around 62 million tonnes of solid waste is produced in the country every year, of which 12 million tonnes are treated, with the rest ending up as untreated garbage and sewage in lakes, rivers and wetlands.
By 2050, waste is expected to rise to 436 million tonnes.
