The rain was beating against the window of my small helicopter as I flew over the endless blue waters of the Coral Sea. The Great Barrier Reef in the distance provided a momentary distraction as we broke through the clouds, and as if by magic, in the horizon a small lush green island appeared. The storm clouds parted and the sun began shining in dramatic fashion as we landed on this magical, remote island known as Bedarra.
