If you’re in one of the 5 industries discussed here you already know you’re in the kill zone. You know that technology will eventually maim and kill your industry though you may be in public denial – like the book, CD, music and taxi industries were for years before the death they all knew was inevitable. Protecting revenue streams – even if they’re dying – is a form of dystopian art that’s well practiced by those who manage the death of business models for a living. There’s really good money in death – that’s for sure. But eventually the revenue streams end and the business model dies.
