[HowTo] Run Minecraft on a really low end PC.
Quick Guide
Basically, how to run Minecraft on a really low end PC. It wont look great but I average 20-40 FPS. Specs: 1.6GHz Intel Atom N455 1GB RAM Intel GMA 3150 pretty bad eh 1: (Optional but HIGHLY reccomended) Download XUbuntu. An Easy to use, lightweight OS. Uses 300 Megs of ram and almost no CPU.
If you did that, then go here: http://ift.tt/1u8VwTx
Also get 2gb of ram if you can.
If not, then install Minecraft normally.
2: Install Optifine.
3: Go to every setting and turn everything to low.
4: Set render distance to 2-4 (Depending on world. 2 gets about 30-40 fps, 4 gets 10-20)
5: Download this pack: http://ift.tt/29OJnBv 8×8 pack, looks pretty good.
6: Install said pack
7: Run Minecraft
8: Edit Profile > Versions > Optifine x.xx
9: Start game
10: World. Superflat can get 60fps easy, but thats boring. Don't use amplified seeds or large mountains.
11: Play game. Loading is slow, but once world is loaded the game runs fine.
Note: Newer PCs that are still low end (Celeron N2840 for example) can run it better, maybe 6 RD and a 16×16 pack.
