Just about everywhere you look, momentum is building to solve climate change. First the US and China announced a series of actions to reduce climate pollution, and then the world agreed to a landmark pact in Paris — with, for the first time, all nations contributing. Clean energy prices are dropping, zero-carbon power is setting records, and people around the world are hard at work on policies that will ensure the Paris pledges are met — and laying the groundwork for even greater ambition in the next round of commitments, in 2020. Others are offering new ideas or constructive criticism on what approaches will work best.
