Hi-res audio is beginning to take off with a number of streaming services and downloads offering music files that promise to catch the very essence of the recording studio when your favourite album was cut. The drawback with hi-res audio is that you either need to listen to it on a ‘proper’ high-end audio set-up at home or else you would have to invest in a hi-res audio player and, most likely, the horrendously expensive matching pair of earphones. Thankfully, there is another way.
