If we were around in the late 1990s and the following decade, we’re programmed to think that whenever a foreign company alleges patent violations in China, the foreign side is right. Chinese firms across industries have such a long legacy of copying trademarks, copyrights and patents that the U.S. state department publicly calls China a “haven for counterfeiters and pirates.”
