If you are a serious Android smartphone user, you’ve probably read and heard plenty of complaints about third party Android skins, and how good old stock Android is the way to go. I’ll admit, stock Android does look the best overall — that material design is clean yet appealing to the eye, without the gaudy TouchWiz lime greens, giant LG notification shortcut icons, or the general China-trying-to-be-Apple vibe of EMUI/MIUI. But after using the Nexus 6P (which runs stock) and HTC 10 (which runs HTC’s very stock-like Senses UI) for several months, I’m not sure stock Android deserves the universal love and praise.
