There’s little question that Microsoft’s tactics to get its new Windows 10 operating system on as many compatible systems and devices as possible, have been viewed as too aggressive by many mainstream users and industry professionals alike. Most wouldn’t argue either that Windows 10 is one of the best operating systems Redmond has every released and that a free upgrade for many users is a great deal. However, not everyone is so enthusiastic about Microsoft’s offer and of course there are occasions and use-cases where the new OS is not compatible and simply not welcome. Such was the case for Sausalito travel agent, Teri Goldstein who claimed her computer that she used to run her business was left unusable after it was allegedly upgraded to Windows 10 without her consent. Goldstein claimed “I had never heard of Windows 10,” and “Nobody ever asked me if I wanted to update.”
