IBM has now been serving and supplying the tennis championships at the All England Club Wimbledon with technology for over 25-years. From the early days of simple score tracking and time keeping onward to working with the Hawkeye ball tracking system — the technology firm progressed to building the custom ‘app’ for the tournament and then enriching information for fans with big data analytics to track every tiny aspect of game play. This year the firm pushes one level deeper and integrates even more social media and human ‘fan’ analysis into the event.
