Don’t Let Your Brand End Up With Egg On Its Face With These 3 Social Media Tips

Every so often I post a Yelp review. I am not the type of person to spend hours reviewing all of my products on Amazon or my experiences on Trip Advisor. However if I’m inspired—and I feel like the business could use some help I might write a review on Trip Advisor or Yelp. Sometimes businesses will show how engaged they are by responding to reviews–this is generally a positive unless community manager clearly did not read the review. Recently my husband and I went furniture shopping for our house. I can clearly remember my husband filling up the tank of our car as I checked out the reviews of the store Living Spaces in Fremont, California, about a 40 minute drive from our house. I leaned out the window and made sure my husband still wanted to take a chance on this poorly reviewed store. It has a troubling 2 ½ stars on Yelp out of 5. Generally I would not step foot in a store with such bad reviews—as I learned recently, trust your fellow reviewer before you take a risk on terrible service.
