The way we listen to and consume music has changed quite considerably over the last few years. Now digital downloads are the mainstream and the market is swiftly moving towards hi-resolution digital files that are, in effect, digital copies of original studio master tapes. Of course, you probably still have some legacy music such as vinyl and CD, so it’s important to be able to access those tracks too, but the future is definitely digital and you will probably be using a laptop or a NAS drive to play your music instead of a turntable or a CD player.
