You start off with nothing, slowly building your world around you. You have goals in mind and work to achieve them. Best of all, you enjoy the journey, not just the end result. You mine for hours finding things you like even if it frustrates you at times, you don't mind that hours have passed by, you look at a beautiful creation you've accomplished only to realize the fun is in the building and the end result is a consequence of the fun you're having.

I guess what I'm trying to say is….I feel like if I was as good in life as I was in these games then maybe I'd be more successful/happy.
