When NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang took to the stage in Austin last night on the eve DreamHack, one of the largest BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) gaming events on the planet taking place at the Austin Convention Center, most attendees at the public event expected Huang to unveil the company’s next generation flagship GeForce graphics card for PC gaming and that it would likely be claimed to offer killer next-generation levels of performance. And that’s exactly what happened but when the powerhouse GPUs ship in the near few weeks, almost no one expected their confirmed price points.  In fact, the launch of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce 1070 may be the single biggest gain in price/performance value proposition for gamers in the company’s history so far.
