I'm trying to create a simple .bat file to run a minecraft (forge) server. I've done this numerous times in the past without issue.

Create new text file, save as server.bat changing from 'txt' to 'all files', save…that should be it, right? It refuses to save as a .bat file. It keeps reverting to a text file. What gives?

I even downloaded a simple random .bat file from online as a test, deleted it's contents and tried to save that empty .bat file in that same folder – it also reverted to a text file. Anyone no what's going on here? Thanks!
