New to Minecraft and I think it is awesome.
So after a recent comic depicting minecraft was posted on r/gaming (I think) I finally bit the bullet and bought minecraft. I've only had it two days but I'm loving every minute of it. The anxiety of surviving my first night (I died 3 times haha) set the stage for my experience. I feel safe in the house I built and I dig down to mine, but every time my tunnel stumbles upon a pre made cavern the anxiety returns. I set up cobblestone fences and use way too many torches to create a perimeter. I even have a specific hall way that I hear a zombie through the walls and it gets me every time. In the comic the character throws his sword at an enemy and then face palms. I didn't get that part until I saw an enemy that explodes running after me, so I decided to turn and attack it and accidentally hit Q, throwing my sword off a cliff. I'm sure I'm making a lot of mistakes and missing the "perfect" play through, but I'm loving every minute of it and can't wait to play again.
