Oculus Rift is coming to retail. Demo units are heading to Best Buys around the country, which I’ve previously said is just about the best thing parent company Facebook could possibly be doing. It’s an amazing product, but one that really doesn’t sing until you’ve seen it yourself, and all three of these big companies should be trying to get as many faces in as many headsets as possible, antibacterial wipes on hand. But it isn’t only demo units that are going to retail stores: you’ll also be able to buy some of the headsets themselves, emphasis on “some.” So that means that people who show up at Best Buy could be getting a headset before a customer that ordered within seconds of the site going live.
