It had to happen sometime. Call of Duty has been slowly weaning itself off of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 for a little while now, and it looks like the franchise is finally ready to cut the cord. Someone recently asked Infinity Ward’s official twitter account if the shooter would be coming to PS3, to which Infinity Ward responded simply “no, it will not.” The tweet only mentions PS3 specifically, but it would be very strange indeed if Activision decided to release on only one last gen console. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that the game will be releasing on current gen hardware only, meaning Xbox One, PC and PS4.
