There’s a lot to like about Project Nioh. A PS4 exclusive years in the making, Nioh looks just now like a Japanese-styled version of Dark Souls, which our own Erik Kain is more than a little bit excited about. But that’s not why I’m interested in this game. I’m interested in this game because there’s an option in the settings I don’t think I’ve ever seen on a console, whether PS4, Xbox One or anything else. The game allows you to switch between “movie mode” and “action mode,” choosing to prioritize either framerate or resolution depending on your preferences.
