At Volkswagen’s annual press conference, the company is making it very clear they are very sorry for the “emissions issue.” But they are also using it as an opportunity to change the culture that allowed the deceit to ferment, tasking a somber but charismatic Matthias Muller, new Chairman of the Board, with leading the company out of the morass.
