There’s little question as to who is dominating this console generation. According to the company’s recent financial briefing, the company sold 17.7 million PS4s in fiscal year 2015, up from 14.8 in fiscal year 2014. That acceleration is great news for a company moving Playstation closer to the center of its business strategy, as well as a console division proving once more that Playstation is the one to beat when it comes to home consoles. By comparison, EA said that Microsoft’s Xbox One had sold around 19 million units as of January. The Wii U comes in third with 12.8 million, and that’s with an extra year on the market.
