Although solid state storage is all the rage for ultra-fast, low-latency storage applications, there is still significant demand for large capacity rotational drives. Earlier in the year Seagate announced that it was shipping 10TB enterprise-class, helium-filled hard drives in limited volumes to key partners, but today the company has announced that it is now shipping the high-capacity drive in volume.
