For the longest time, the console versions of any Bethesda game, be they Elder Scrolls or Fallout, simply couldn’t compete with what their PC counterparts had to offer. Sure, the graphics and gameplay were always relatively similar, but the PC version of the game always had something that the consoles never did: mods. From graphics, to items, to entirely new questlines and environments, the massive wave of player created content that washes over a Bethesda game on PC transforms it from a self-contained experience to a near limitless sandbox. Consoles, however, are getting in on the action. Mods for Fallout 4 are coming Xbox One in May and PS4 in June, and I’m going to get ready for things to get weird.
