Give LG credit for innovation, making its new G5 smartphone modular. A compartment just below the phone’s screen can detach from the rest of the body, allowing you to swap out the battery for a fresh one, add camera functionality, or even install a hi-fi speaker unit. I’m guessing there are other modular attachments coming, and that there’ll be consumers wanting to take full advantage of the flexibility.
