When you think of things that represent the ‘old’ infrastructure of the city – you can’t help think with some nostalgia about city streets. Ever since the horse and carriage chugged it’s way through New York, the former dirt paths have been the grid network that makes up the shape of the city.
Outside my window, around my block – New York’s sidewalks are undergoing an extraordinary high-tech innovation. Link NYC is an urban rethinking of the old-fashioned and obsolete phone booth. A bright, digital monolith, the Link NYC stations are appearing – overnight – across the city.
