Size Matters: Why NASA Is Measuring Raindrops

NASA and its partners do cool things.  I worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for twelve years as a Research Meteorologist. By the way, being a meteorologist at NASA has nothing to do with forecasting for rocket launches even though I got the question frequently. I was a research scientist working on complex satellite missions to study Earth’s weather and climate system.
