We’re a little short on cartoony games, these days. Kids games seem to all be rapidly shifting towards toys to life, AAA games seem to be locked in a decades-long “who can be darker” contest, and it’s been years since I’ve seen a proper platformer made by a company that wasn’t Nintendo. Now, Ratchet and Clank’s guns mean it isn’t quite a pure platformer, but it’s still a throwback to a time gone by. It’s one I’m looking forward to being thrown back to, however — Ratchet and Clank comes out on PS4 tomorrow, April 12th.
