Official Twitter accounts are rarely known for their wit or charm, but every once in a while you get a gem. Such is the case with this Dark Souls 3 tweet co-opting the recent “sad Ben Affleck” meme that’s been going around since ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ started getting panned in the reviews. But what if he wasn’t preoccupied with the Batman-in-tank-armor-sized problem he’s now carrying around on his back? What if he was just thinking about what it’s going to be like to get back to Dark Souls?

Well played, Bandai Namco, well-played. Dark Souls 3’s western release is just a few days away, and it’s a complicated set of emotions to be sure. On the one hand, you’re yearning to to explore some more beautifully realized, broken down gothic hellscapes. On the other hand, you remember the dread, the obsession, the endless hours banging your head against the wall. You’ve heard this is the hardest Dark Souls yet. You’re chasing that dragon, wondering if it’s worth it to throw quite that much of yourself into a video game or if maybe you’ll just sit this one out. You’re acknowledging that you probably won’t. Or maybe that’s just me?
