Recently I wrote about my concern that, as Android phone profits dwindle due to the price war between OEMs (original equipment manufacturer), we may be heading toward a future of just iPhones and China phones. After all, Motorola has pulled the plug on its brand of smartphones, HTC became essentially “worthless”, and LG’s mobile division lost US$68 million last year after its G4 flopped.
