There’s been a rash of internet-connected light bulbs hitting the market the past few years. They’re generally energy-efficient, can emit light in various hues, and can be controlled from either a hub in your home or from a smartphone. I’ve personally been using — and loving — a model from LIFX for a year now, which connects via WiFi.
