It’s been feeling like Minecraft’s been lacking lately for the builders.

This new update is interesting with the new command blocks and new small selection of blocks it offers in my perspective, but for a few years now it feels like Minecraft doesn't really listen to the "builder's" needs in the game. Surely there were barrier blocks that became very helpful in building restricted areas & stained glass with eventual carpets but I feel like the builders are being left in the dark in updates lately.

Here's a small list of things Minecraft needs in terms of functionality with detail in the game:

  • Stackable slabs of different type of block would be game changing in the detail world.

  • Colored lighting could add atmosphere in both survival and in building.

  • Vertical slabs are a given.

  • Signs that could be placed on the ground and ceiling could give labeling things a fun touch.

  • Carpet-like leaf details for the ground would give depth for forests.

  • More slabs for more blocks, adds excellent detail.

  • More ores, stones, and mineral blocks, after all; it's MINEcraft.

This topic might be beating a dead horse, I also am interested in other input from you guys as well. I know Minecraft is widely known for being survival but it was once originally a sandbox game and a lot of us still treat it as such. 🙂
