Last November, FuelCell Energy announced that it was expanding its Torrington, Connecticut factory to double its output capacity, from 100 to 200 megawatts (MW). The company recently offered me an invitation to visit the Torrington facility, so I jumped in my car and took the three-hour drive to see what they are up to.
