For years, Apple and Alphabet—the old Google, which last August announced a corporate restructuring and the forming of an umbrella company called Alphabet — have been great companies and great investments, handsomely rewarding investors who held on to their stocks.
Recently, both stocks have paused, together with the overall market. Valuations have become reasonable, especially for Apple, which recently was trading at a forward PE below 10.
