Dragon Quest is one of those strangely landlocked series of games. As it is hugely popular in Japan but almost unheard of in the West. It has a long lineage though and when Square Enix announced a new spin-off called Dragon Quest Builders, many dismissed it as a poor Minecraft clone. They could not have been more wrong, as this game delves back deep into the world of Dragon Quest and as a result creates something entirely new and fresh.
