Way back when, Microsoft had a pretty good idea about how to encourage indie game development on the Xbox One. The company had seen how successful Sony had been with its indie games support on PS3, and was doing its best to make it easier and easier to get people developing small-scale games on Xbox One. The company had the idea to make every single Xbox One unit functional as a Dev Kit, and the video gaming Internet was understandably piqued by the idea. More than two years out of release, however, we’re still waiting on it, and it’s not looking all that likely.
