Volkswagen executives are usually all over the media at events like the Geneva Car Show, but humbled by the dieselgate scandal, they are unlikely to be seen breaking cover near microphones, notebooks or cameras next week. So far, the rest of the European automotive industry has avoided being tainted by the scandal.
