It’s just after dawn on Sunday, February 14th, and despite not being a morning person I’m wide awake as I blast down the 15 freeway just south of Lake Elsinore. I’ve already been up for more than an hour, having departed South Orange County on the 5 freeway before exiting into the twisty curves of Ortega Highway. My driving partner on this Valentine’s Day is a Rosso Corsa (“racing red”) 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB, the latest model in a long line of mid-engine V8 Ferraris.
