With the G5, LG Is Going All In

Last year was a troubling one for South Korean electronics manufacturer LG. Despite releasing not one, but two well-reviewed flagship phones, the company’s mobile division lost a staggering $68 million in the third quarter, and only improved slightly on that figure in quarter four. It would appear (according to sales figures and the eye test of looking around at what’s in other people’s hands) that, despite trotting out innovative features with each new phone, consumers prefer Apple and Samsung over LG.
