One of the biggest problems faced by development agencies working in humanitarian efforts around the world is monitoring and evaluation, which is a $10.5-billion annual business. This is what Kenyan start-up Bamba Group aims to address, and has been selected as the first East African company by prominent US accelerator TechStars, which says it believes “Bamba Group could be the next Airbnb or Dropbox within the next five years”.
