Because writing long-form pieces takes a fair bit of time, I thought I’d relax a little by sharing a video with you today. Like all the videos I choose to share, this video is special. Well ok; I think it’s bloody brilliant. The video features a scientist standing up in a dingy pub in Edinburgh one night shortly before Christmas, and chatting with the public about an important but often misunderstood aspect of the scientific method, called a “control”.
